Patrick Mahomes works with Coors Light in an epic video

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes lends his star power to an unlikely sponsor to create a new tailgate must-have: the Coors Light flashlight.

Beer has long been a part of football, but as it turns out, it really can’t walk in the hands of soccer players – at least not on camera as confirmation.

But a little ingenuity, combined with the versatility of the English language, allowed a popular adult beverage company to work with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his foundation, Giving Back 15 and the Mahomies Foundation.

By introducing The Coors Light, a limited edition flashlight that claims to be as cool as the Colorado Rockies – just like the beer.

In the minute-long spot, Mahomes reassures the audience that it’s a “quality flashlight” while humorously playing around with the product. Seems like Coors and Mahomes had fun finding a creative way to combine the superstar aura with “the official sponsor of everything unofficial.”

Here’s what Mahomes had to say about the cool summer campaign, according to a company press release:

“This summer I’m excited to be collaborating again with Coors Light to debut ‘The Coors Light,’ with all proceeds going to the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation.”

“It’s a real flashlight. It’s made of high quality steel and feels as cold as the Rocky Mountains.”

For any Chiefs fan looking for a whimsical memorabilia to add to their collection, The Coors Light is the place to be available for a limited time. The brand is launching a limited number of flashlights daily at 10am from July 13th to 15th until supplies last. The $15 flashlights, priced for the legendary quarterback’s jersey number, will be donated in full to Mahomes’ eponymous foundation.

That means every flashlight sold becomes direct improve children’s lives since Mahomes Foundation “supports initiatives focused on health, well-being, communities in need of resources and other charitable causes.”

Whether it’s a handy tool for the next tailgate, another memorabilia for the Chiefs wall, or just an attempt to improve the lives of children across the country, The Coors Light is something that goes hand-in-hand with being a committed Being a Patrick Mahomes fan.
