Patrick Mahomes’ New ‘Trick Pass’ Will Get People Going (Video)

The Kansas City Chiefs’ prolific signal caller could add something to his arsenal. The always dangerous Patrick Mahomes shows a little finesse.

It’s been quite a four-year run for one of the most gifted arms in the National Football League.

Patrick Mahomes became the full-time quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2018. Andy Reid’s team hosted the AFC Championship Game every year and the club has made two Super Bowl appearances. Mahomes was the MVP of his team’s 31-20 win in 2019 (LIV) and the league’s most valuable player in 2018.

A total of 63 regular-season appearances resulted in 18,991 yards through the air and just over four times as many touchdown passes (151) as interceptions (37).

Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes has a new trick

It’s an impressive resume. So if there’s a glimpse of something interesting when it comes to the Chiefs quarterback, it’s probably worth a little look. So follow the ball!

The leaders has won the AFC West six years in a row and done seven playoff appearances in a row. But the team faces a major challenge in 2022 from a much-improved division. While the Chargers beefed up their defense with Khalil Mack, JC Jackson and Kyle Van Noy, the Broncos traded quarterback Russell Wilson and the Raiders traded wide receivers Davante Adams.

Meanwhile there is many changes when it comes to Reid and co. Six-time Pro Bowler Tyreek Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins, and fellow wide receivers Demarcus Robinson and Byron Pringle signed with the Raiders and Bears, respectively. Joining them are former Steelers Pro Bowler Juju Smith-Schuster and 2022 second-round wideout Skyy Moore (Western Michigan).

Andy Reid has never been afraid to reach into his bag of tricks. He’s entering his 24th straight season as NFL head coach — dating back to 1999 with the Eagles — and his 10th with the Chiefs. He’s got a pretty talented quarterback in Mahomes whose ball handling skills have proven to be pretty exemplary. Patrick Mahomes’ New ‘Trick Pass’ Will Get People Going (Video)
