Paramount is creating three key international leaders

The roles of three key Paramount International Markets executives have been significantly expanded by the company.

Katherine Liu, who in her previous role as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Operations for International Streaming at Paramount, was responsible for developing and executing a strategic and operational vision for the international growth of the company’s streaming presence across five continents, will now serve as Lead by VP and COO, Paramount International Markets.

In her new role, based in New York and reporting to Pam Kaufman, President and CEO of International Markets, Global Consumer Products and Experiences, and Naveen Chopra, CFO, Paramount Global, Liu will focus on the growth of Paramount’s hybrid operating model Paramount and creating strategic value for all direct-to-consumer and broadcast media businesses, including Paramount+ and Pluto TV, pay-TV networks and free-to-air.

International roles in finance, business and law, strategy, technology, research, and intelligence and operations will report to Liu.

Janice Gatti, who in her previous role as Senior Vice President of Communications for Paramount International Networks, led studios and streaming initiatives including the communications strategy for Paramount+’s international expansion in the UK, Ireland and Italy and the MTV EMA Generation Change campaign who focused on LGBTQ+ rights in Hungary and globally in 2021, will now serve as Executive VP and Head of Communications at Paramount International Markets.

Gatti is based in New York and reports to Kaufman and Justin Dini, executive vice president and head of corporate communications for Paramount Global, streaming services Paramount+ and Pluto TV; free-to-air channels from Channel 5 to Telefe; and brands like BET, Comedy Central, MTV and Nickelodeon.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles-based Talia Robinson will report to Kaufman and continue to report to Brian Robbins in her newly expanded role as Executive Vice President of Human Resources, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, Paramount Consumer Products and Experiences and Paramount International Markets. President and CEO, Paramount Pictures and Paramount kids and gamily; and to Nancy Phillips, Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer, Paramount Global.

Robinson will focus on designing, developing and executing effective HR strategies while Paramount adopts a global operating model. Robinson’s expertise in talent acquisition and management led to the transformation and expansion of Nickelodeon Studios, including Nickelodeon Animation Studio, and shaped the global launch of the studios and the company’s production HR function.
