Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson wants nothing to do with Baker Mayfield

Despite being a popular choice as a potential landing spot for Baker Mayfield, Robby Anderson wants nothing to do with the QB.

Although Ian Rapoport proclaimed that the Panthers could be the potential top landing spot for Mayfield, one of the top weapons Carolina has to offer wants nothing to do with the former No.

Carolina is expected to be the first team to pick a quarterback in April’s NFL draft. You have sixth choice for a reason, and Sam Darnold isn’t the answer. Carolina has a few trading options should she choose to pass on Malik Willis and Kenny Pickett like Mayfield and Jimmy Garoppolo.

However, Anderson would prefer that they avoid Mayfield entirely. CBS laid out the exchange in its entirety:

Panthers.way on Instagram posted Rapoports Lean, and Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson commented, “Nooooo.” That wasn’t all, as the same Instagram account posted another picture saying Anderson doesn’t want Mayfield coming to Carolina. Anderson commented again, saying, “Facts.”

Panthers: Trade between Robby Anderson and Baker Mayfield

Anderson needn’t worry as the Panthers are unlikely to trade for Mayfield, according to ESPN’s David Newton.

Rather than trade for another mediocre quarterback, Carolina would be better off drafting her own superstar in development.

So far that seems to be the plan. Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson wants nothing to do with Baker Mayfield
