Pakistani police officer killed in hand grenade attack, 4 injured
PESHAWAR, Pakistan — Attackers threw a hand grenade at a roadside police post in northwestern Pakistan on Thursday, killing one officer and injuring four people before fleeing the scene, local officials said.
No one immediately claimed responsibility and the identities of the attackers were not released after the attack in Mardan, a district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan.
