Paizo Releases PATHFINDER Premium Content For FOUNDRY VIRTUAL TABLETOP – GeekTyrant

Paizo and Foundry Gaming LLC recently announced their official partnership that will bring premium content Foundry Virtual Tabletop. The first of the new premium products to be released will be the second edition Pathfinder Beginner Box. It will be available on April 16th, just in time for the community-run Beginner Box Day event, taking place on April 23rd-24th. Additionally, Punks in a powder keg, the first volume of the Outlaws of Alkenstar Adventure Path will be available on April 27th, the same day as the physical book. The second and third volumes will appear on Foundry Virtual Tabletop as they hit store shelves in the coming months.

If you need even more, next month there will be the release of the all-inclusive deluxe module for the Abomination Vaults Adventure Path with the following features:

  • Adventure and Toolbox content converted into journal entries, each hand-customized to provide dynamic links to other documents and specific instructions for completing the adventure using Foundry Virtual Tabletop’s automation features.

  • Numerous unique, high-resolution character and monster tokens.

  • Exclusive, highly detailed and immersive adventure maps with support for Foundry Virtual Tabletop’s Overhead Tiles and Foreground Layer features, rebuilt with assets from Forgotten Adventures.

  • Preconfigured scenes with walls, lights, sound, tokens, and hazards already placed to provide GMs with the most convenient experience of directing the adventure.

  • Music, ambiance and sound effects are provided with audio from the extensive Syrinscape library.

  • Script macros that allow a GM to reduce the effort required to handle more complex encounters that await players.

Markus Moreland Shared by Paizo:

We’d like to thank the passionate volunteers who laid the groundwork for Pathfinder Second Edition content on Foundry, without whom we would have had a much steeper climb to bring these projects to fruition. Special thanks to developer FryGuy, whose PF2e PDF-to-Foundry module has provided countless GMs with adventure import and formatting services without official FoundryVTT support until now. Internally, this partnership had no greater advocate than Andrew White, who was one of the first at the company to point to FoundryVTT’s meteoric rise in the virtual tabletop landscape and spearheaded the coordination between Paizo and the various teams working on these releases. Thank you all!
