Julio Jones knows a little something about the franchise giving up a lot to get a talented performer. Back in 2011, the Atlanta Falcons staged a big deal with the Cleveland Browns to move up to sixth in the NFL draft to put themselves in a position to secure the outstanding services of the University of Alabama.

A few days earlier, the Green Bay Packers sent Davante Adams extensively to the Las Vegas Raiders for first- and second-round selections in April. He leaves after making 669 catches for 8,121 yards and 73 points in eight seasons with the club.

Julio Jones is an 11-year veteran whose best days are behind him. The former Crimson Tide member missed seven games in his final season with the Falcons. He was awarded for the Tennessee Titans a year ago and also missed seven regular-season competitions but returned in the team’s playoff game against the Bengals.

In 15 games against Atlanta in 2019, Jones was on his seventh consecutive Pro Bowl title through 99 hits with 1,394 yards and six points. In his 19 regular-season appearances over the past two years, there have been a total of 82 saves, 1,205 yards and four touchdowns. He made six catches for 62 yards in a home loss to Cincinnati but was dropped by the Titans this season.

With Adams, the Packers watched Equivalent St. Brown signed with the Chicago Bears. And Marquez Valdes-Scantling remains an unrestricted free agent.
