Pac-Man items head to Fortnite in June

According to an announcement on the official Japanese Pac-Man website, Pac-Man is headed to Fortnite starting June 2nd. The collaboration between the Battle Royale game and the ’80s gaming icon will allow players to purchase a range of items featuring a “Pac-Man” theme, which will be available starting next month.
Instead of playing as Pac-Man and other related character skins like Ms. Pac-Man and Baby Pac-Man, Fortnite allows players to dress up in Pac-Man merch. The Pac-Man crossover is set to come in two weeks, just before Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 wraps up in the season-ending event, the Seven-IO War.
The announcement is part a 42nd Anniversary of Pac-Man that Bandai Namco celebrates all week. Given that Pac-Man was a regular guest of Super Sash Bros. on Nintendo, the transition to Fortnite isn’t too surprising. At the time of writing, Epic Games hasn’t said anything about the collaboration in a blog post, but it’s only a matter of time before they officially confirm Pac-Man’s Fortnite crossover.
The addition of Pac-Man to Fortnite is the game’s latest crossover, recently adding a Robocop skin and bringing Star Wars items and skins back to the current season of Fortnite. An Obi-Wan Kenobi skin is also set to be released in Fortnite later this week.
