“We’ve been wanting to buy our first home for a while,” said the winner at the time.

“We looked for a loan at different banks and experienced so many ups and downs. No longer.”

Just a week later, a NSW mum was grateful after winning $3million on an accidentally ticked purchase.

“I thought it might have been a mistake,” she said.

“After that, I couldn’t sleep at all. I don’t normally buy Oz Lotto – I’ve probably only bought a ticket in it twice in my life.

“But the other day I got my usual ticket and must have inadvertently asked for a ticket for Tuesday’s draw instead of Wednesday’s. After the ticket was printed I realized it was the wrong one but figured I should just keep it.

“I’m glad I did it now.”
