Our favorite cosplay from Katsucon 2023: The Kotaku Gallery

After a few months of winter hiatus, the North American cosplay season is starting to heat up againwith the first big show of the year – Katsucon – taking place outside of DC last month.

The Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center hosted the con, which took place February 17-19 and attracted around 15,000 people, including many cosplayers.

You may remember that last year’s Katsucon was the first major US show to resume after the pandemic lockdowns and was held with mask rules being addressed very well by the more creative cosplayers. This year’s show was a lot more relaxed, so a real return to old Katsucon. If “2019 and earlier” can really be called “old”.
