Oscars 2022 Winners List: All the People Who Won This Year’s Academy Awards

Another test year for the Academy Awards. A steady decline in viewership over the years has turned what was once a fairly trusted community experience across the country into a more appropriate viewing spot, to the point where it sometimes seems like many people are buzzing about new changes in the Oscars show rather than actually watching it. In 2022, new developments include the return of reality presenters for the first time in four years, with Regina Hall, Wanda Sykes and Amy Schumer overseeing the presentations. (“This year, the Oscars hired three women to host, because it was cheaper than hiring a man,” Schumer joked in the show’s opening sequence.)

The producers also made an immediately controversial decision to award eight awards – short film and some craft – separately before the ceremony and consisting of only a select few footage from the artists. that presentation in the live show.
