Oregon Soccer Team 2022

Dan Lanning and the Oregon football program may face some growing difficulties, but the Ducks may have a bright future.

If the Oregon mallards want to be the national candidate, they’re going to need some really good recruiting classes.

Unfortunately for the folks at Eugene, the Ducks haven’t really had much continuity with the way Mario Cristobal left for Miami. But, with a new head coach, a fresh start.

This is how Dan Lanning’s first recruiting class is taking shape.

Oregon Soccer Top Recruits of 2022: Tetairoa McMillan, WR (Anaheim, CA)

Historically, Ducks have been known for a hilarious offense, and there’s always the possibility that Lanning will ensure Oregon’s offense continues to excite. With Tetairoa McMillan, Oregon is getting a great receiver. At 6 foot-4 and 185 pounds, the McMillan can be a huge mismatch for a Duck.

Strengths and weaknesses of the Oregon football team

The Ducks have assembled a pretty solid defense. So far, it looks like Oregon has done well there. Right now, the biggest thing this team needs are numbers. They have to find some more recruits for this class.

Oregon Football Rough: Stephon Johnson, WR (DeSoto, TX)

It’s never been a problem to have another wide receiver available, and Stephon Johnson has some potential to add more depth to the Oregon location that already has so much depth. That will give him time to develop. Johnson, 6 feet tall and 175 pounds, has some solid dimensions and can pose a significant threat to Ducks.

Where does Oregon football rank nationally and where does the Pac-12 in recruiting?

Given the current situation, Oregon’s 2022 recruiting class ranks as the second best class in the Pac-12, behind Stanford, according to Sportsbook 247. That’s not bad, all things considered. Oregon’s class is ranked 33rd overall, according to people at Sportsbook 247.

Oregon Soccer Team 2022: B-

For now, this class stacks up well against the rest of the Pac-12, which is fine, but if Oregon turns out to be a national-level contender, things will have to improve going forward. It’s hard to fault Oregon’s class for not being perfect the way Cristobal has taken off, and there’s still some time for the Ducks to improve in the future.
