Oregon Ducks Hire Kenny Dillingham of Florida State Seminoles as Offensive Coordinator

Oregon set to rent State of Florida Offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham for a similar role under new coach Dan Lanning, sources told ESPN.
An announcement is expected late Wednesday. Dillingham has been with FSU for the past two seasons under coach Mike Norvell after a year as Auburn’s offensive coordinator.
The move to Oregon reunited Dillingham with Lanning, as the two worked together at Memphis in 2016 and 2017 when Norvell was head coach there. Dillingham, 31, is an Arizona State alum who began his coaching career at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. He joined the Sun Devils staff under Todd Graham and joined Norvell in 2014. Lanning served as the Sun Devil’s recruitment coordinator in 2013.
Although Dillingham has held coordinator titles at three shows, he has worked under the direction of head coaches (Norvell and Malzahn) who have participated in offensive games. . Oregon’s move gives Dillingham complete autonomy over gameplay.
A native of Phoenix, Dillingham has recruited a number of quarterbacks from the area, including Chubba Purdy, who appeared in a game for FSU before announcing his departure from the team last month. Oregon’s quarterback Ty Thompson, a potential 2022 starter, is from Gilbert, Arizona.
Florida State is promoting offensive team coach Alex Atkins to the role of coordinator, according to the source. Atkins was the offensive coordinator at Charlotte in 2019.
247sports first reported on the Atkins promotion.
