Online competition cooperation in MLB The Show 22, explained

With sports games released every year, it can be difficult to make these titles stand out from each other more than just a roster update. That’s why developers give such a big advantage when they add a new feature or game mode to a game. With MLB The Show 22, that shiny new feature is online competitive co-op. Here’s all you need to know.

As of this writing, information about MLB The Show 22’s cooperative game mode is a bit scarce. That will change with the Game’s First Feature Launch on February 16. We’ll update this post as we know more.

With competitive online co-op, players can join each other on the same team and work together to win a match against another team. These matches can be 2v2 or 3v3 in Play Now or Diamond Dynasty exhibit modes. This means you will be able to play with the updated list of games at the time or with a collection of players. Looks like co-op is not available in Road to the Show or Franchise.

It is unclear as of this writing whether the players will alternate between players on the field or if they will lock into a specific position of their choice before the game begins. Online competition cooperation in MLB The Show 22, explained
