Omicron’s Northeast retreat seen in 3 maps
The wave of omicrons continues to infect people across the US, but the latest trending data continues to show signs of improvement in the Northeast for both cases and hospitalizations.
Nationwide, new confirmed Covid-19 cases through Thursday are down nearly 5% from two weeks ago, according to NBC News tally, with sharp declines in several Northeast and Midwest states. Cases are down 59% in New York, 63% in New Jersey and 65% in Washington, D.C.
