We’re 100 days away from more Ole Miss football, but Lane Kiffin and the rest of the Rebels have found a new and creative way to use a spice to most effectively troll Tennessee.

Nobody has made better use of a carefully placed mustard bottle since Dirty Mike and the Boys. In addition to showing off her latest Egg Bowl and Magnolia Bowl championships, Ole Miss asserts her dominance over Rocky Top by claiming the Mustard Bowl for herself. There’s no room for Dijon or any of that spicy nonsense on this graphic, just French’s yellow mustard.

As the old saying goes – or in this case throws – what goes around comes back, all right.

Even if Kiffin’s previous shenanigans at Knoxville will indirectly cost him the third generation of Manning quarterbacks, why if the war, if you can win the battle? Pettiness isn’t exactly a virtue, but it’s a vice to have. Some people drink, some smoke, some gamble, and some troll in Tennessee. To each their own, but there’s no ketchup on Lane’s bun.

let’s be real It’s a damn shame Ole Miss and Tennessee don’t play each other in the Manning Kiffin Mustard Bowl every year. Omaha Productions would be an absolute cash cow from this media spectacle. Though Josh Heupel may not be all about the smoke standing next to Smokey in the Smokey Mountains, Kiffin grabbed a water bottle at Neyland and threw his visor after the win.

The man, the myth, the legend may have thrown the first pitch with a golf ball before the rebels were hurled onto the diamond by the volunteers, but it’s the incredibly petty thought that counts. Honestly, the only other SEC trainer who has such a close association with a random hot dog sandwich condiment is South Carolina’s Shane Beamer, who rose to fame with mayonnaise-taking baths.

Only 100 days until we can all lather a dog/brat with mustard to watch Ole Miss soccer.
