Just off to the start of arguably the greatest season in show history, Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy is getting a raise from his alma mater.

Gundy is one of the longest-serving head coaches in the Power Five, when he took over Les Miles at Stillwater in 2005. “I spent most of my life in Stillwater. The state of Oklahoma is home. This next level commitment from our president, Dr Kayse Shrum, sporting director Chad Weiberg and our Board of Directors is a huge step forward in solidifying Cowboy Football for the future as a brand. national insignia,” Gundy said in a statement released by the university. “I am grateful to Chad, our relationship, and the support and loyalty he shows not only to me but also to the assistant coach, support staff, student-athlete , former players, fans and everyone involved in OSU Football. Cowboy culture has never been stronger.

“We have established OSU Football as a contender on the national stage,” he added. “My excitement with our administration and their vision makes me look forward to achieving lasting success in and out of this field.”

Oklahoma State Soccer: Mike Gundy’s Contract Details

Gundy sees his annual bonus increase $1 million to $7.5 million for the college season 2022. He will receive $1 million in maintenance bonuses over the next five years. Other details of his current contract, such as the $125,000 annual escalator and the one-year annual renewal, remain intact. Oklahoma State thinks Gundy can turn this team into a new Big 12 powerhouse.

With Oklahoma and Texas leaving the Big 12 for the SEC, the State of Oklahoma is in a great position to be one of the preeminent shows in the revamped Power Five conference. The state of Oklahoma became the great school of the state now. While adding BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and UCF would change the dynamics, Oklahoma State is one of the programs that has benefited greatly here.

Of course, the departures of Oklahoma and Texas make other teams like Baylor, TCU and Texas Tech most notable, aside from Oklahoma State. What serves the Cowboys is that they have been a consistent 10-winner program throughout Gundy’s tenure at Stillwater. They are usually a game to get to Arlington. From there, they can compete with the Six Bowls on Tet holiday and so on.

If Oklahoma State builds on last year’s success, Gundy will likely see his bank account grow even more.
