Central American Conference rivals, the Ohio Bobcats and the Toledo Rockets, battle it out in a very important game of MAC leaderboards.
Ohio currently leads the conference with a 10-1 record while Toledo is second with a 10-2 score.
A Rockets win would draw them with Ohio and give them a tiebreak if the pair finish the season at the top of the leaderboard. Toledo suffered a tough loss at Ball State and managed to bounce back against the Bobcats, which are on a five-game winning streak.
Here are the odds for Tuesday night’s MAC-tion, powered by WynnBET Sportsbook.
Total: 151 (Over -110/Under -110)
The Bobcats not only entered this game trying to maintain their conference lead, but with a bit of revenge in mind. Toledo is the only team to beat Ohio so far in the conference game. Toledo actually beat Ohio 87-69 in late January. The team has recovered to win the last year in a row and could increase its lead to two games if it wins tonight.
That’s easier said than done with the Rockets showing off the top 15 goalscorers. Their defense is 203, but their attack is so good that they are also 38th with an average score of +8.8. Toledo is also a dominant team in the top 20. Ohio is a more balanced team with attack ability ranked 74th and defense ranked 72nd. But that balance has not been able to stop or even slow down. Back to Toledo in the last time the two teams clashed.
Looking back on that last game, Toledo’s fouls and high tempo were too much for Ohio to handle. The Rockets controlled the board and scored a lot of moves. I don’t see Ohio being able to adjust to these fit holes and would consider Toledo as my favorite candidate to scan this series.
Pick: Toledo -2.5 (-110)
