Ohio State Buckeyes QB CJ Stroud emerges as America’s most loved Heisman in sportsbooks

The Heisman Trophy win rate changed over the weekend, with Ohio State midfielder CJ Stroud is emerging as a favorite on the US sportsbooks.

Stroud is loved at -220 at Caesars Sportsbook, followed by Alabama midfielder Bryce Young at +175.

Stroud entered the weekend behind Young in Heisman odds but put together a stellar performance in the Buckeyes’ Route 56-7 of the State of Michigan on Saturday. Stroud completed 32 of 35 passes for 432 yards and six touchdowns. The freshman quarterback has 3,468 passes, 36 touches and five interceptions this season. He’ll have a spotlight game this weekend when the Buckeyes travel to Ann Arbor to face rival Michigan. Ohio State is an 8 point favorite over the Wolverines.

Young also had a big game on Saturday, setting a one-game record in Alabama with 559 yards in the Crimson Tide’s 42-35 wins on Arkansas. He counted seven hits, including five through the air.

Stroud is the latest in a string of Heisman favorites this season. Oklahoma’s Midfielder Spencer Rattler, Mississippi Winger Matt Corral and Young each topped the Heisman Trophy win rate this season. Corral is currently 20-1, followed by Michigan State beating Kenneth Walker 25-1.

The Heisman ballots will be distributed on November 29, with the deadline for votes being December 6. The presentation of the Heisman Awards will be held on December 11.
