Beckham was among a large number of players shortlisted for COVID/subs on Tuesday. His old team, Cleveland Browns, put eight players on the COVID roster on Tuesday, and the league saw 37 people test positive on Monday. With the mass outbreak of coronavirus plaguing the NFL, many teams are running thin on depth as they fear the spread of further positive tests.
The Rams announced their decision to close team facilities and engage the NFL’s intensive COVID protocols on Tuesday after numerous positive tests. Team has forced to play Monday’s game without some major players, including RB Darrell Henderson Jr., CB Jalen Ramsey, and TE Tyler Higbee, among others, due to a positive COVID test. Despite the absence of a few key starters, the Rams were able to win 30-23 in prime time. Beckham caught six passes on seven goals in 77 meters and one touchdown.
Beckham’s place on the COVID-19 list puts him in place for the Rams’ Week 15 clash with Seattle Seahawks Football Team is in danger, although the possibility of him playing remains. To be able to compete, Beckham Jr will need to return at least two negative tests before Sunday’s game.
