Oddworld: Soulstorm is finally coming to Switch next week

Oddworld: Soulstorm finally has a release date for Nintendo Switch: October 27th.

Although we learned back in July that the Switch version, Oddword: Soulstorm Oddtimized Edition, was coming, developer Microids has only just set the release date.

To celebrate, the team released a 10-minute video of “weird brand new gameplay footage” for your viewing pleasure:

Oddworld: Soulstorm Oddtimized Edition was developed “exclusively” for the Nintendo Switch. If you haven’t pre-ordered the Limited Oddition or the Collector’s Oddition yet, you still have time, as all pre-orders also get an original digital soundtrack and digital artbook.

The Collector’s Oddition includes a Collector’s Box with the game and a steel case to carry your Switch cartridges, plus a keychain, silver hero figure, art prints, art book, temporary tattoo and stickers.

The Collector’s Oddition also features a metal case for storing all your game cartridges.

“The enduring point of Oddworld is that its most terrifying elements are not remotely fictional, and that it uses fantasy to draw our attention back to the bizarre horrors of our own world,” Donlan wrote when reviewing Oddworld: Soulstorm.

“Oddworld used to seem to want more from games and their players, and they still do.
