NSW Police investigate after motorcycle crash in Coramba

A man has died in a motorcycle accident on the NSW Mid North Coast.

At around 1:55 p.m. Saturday, a motorcycle crashed into a power pole on Coramba Road in Coramba, prompting an emergency response.

Bystanders rushed to the 45-year-old driver and tried to revive the man.

He was then taken to Coffs Harbor Base Hospital by paramedics in critical condition.

He died a short time later in hospital.

It is believed no one else was injured.

A crime scene has been set up and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident have begun.

A report is prepared for the coroner.
