Brown was released on bail to appear before Downing Center Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
A 20-year-old woman reported the alleged incident to staff at the venue before police were called, The Daily Telegraph reported.
In a statement, the Eels said the club had been made aware of the incident and had informed the NRL integrity unit.
“As this is a police matter, the club will not be making any further comments at this time,” it said.
New Zealand-born Brown has played 95 games for the Eels since making his NRL debut for the team in 2019 at the age of 18.
He has scored 25 tries for the club and completed five Tests for New Zealand.
