“Now please come back!” Tennis Twitter is urging Ash Barty to come out of retirement after tying the knot with partner Garry Kissick FirstSportz

Former World No. 1 Ashleigh Barty was one of the most competent tennis players of recent times and rose to fame for dominating the women’s circuit year after year. She retired from the sport earlier this year after winning three Grand Slam trophies over the course of her dominant, albeit short, career, breaking the hearts of her numerous fans.
Surprisingly, in a private ceremony, Barty announced her marriage to longtime partner, golfer Garry Kissick. It was previously revealed that Barty was planning to hold a small wedding with just a few close friends and family members. Queensland served as the location of the wedding.
The two became engaged in November last year, while Barty put the finishing touches to another attempt to end Australia’s historic streak of more than 40 years without producing a singles Australian Open winner. In 2017, Barty and Kissick publicized their relationship by attending the John Newcombe Awards, where Barty accepted the first of her four Newcombe Medals, which honor the country’s best player of the year. After winning three of the sport’s biggest championships – Wimbledon, the Australian Open and the French Open – and being ranked number one in the world, Barty announced her retirement in March.

However, the Queenslander left some room for a comeback in professional tennis. “I would say you never say never. I would say the door is closed but it doesn’t have a padlock. “I’m never someone who says absolutely never, never, never. But yes, it feels like it’s closed. I feel like I gave absolutely everything to the sport and I have nothing left to give. But I know tennis will always be a big part of my life and I can contribute in a number of ways, so maybe that connection to tennis will always be there.”
