Austin White, known in the sports-entertainment world as Theory, is a former WWE US Champion and the most recent winner of the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. A professional bodybuilder, Theory decided to pursue a career in wrestling and followed his idol, John Cena, who made a similar career transition and joined professional wrestling. Theory, before signing with World Wrestling Entertainment, spent 2+ years touring the independent circuit, competing and gaining experience with the likes of Will Ospreay, Joey Janela and Zack Saber Jr.
The theory first appeared on WWE records when he accompanied former NXT Champion Johnny Gargano to the ring as part of his team. Since his debut, Theory has managed to win over WWE management due to his skills and the amount of hard work he puts in. He left a lasting impression on former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, especially after his impressive performance at Wrestlemania against a fairly new wrestler to wrestle Pat McAfee. Shortly after the mega event, he became US Champion, defeating Finn Balor in the process.
Lashley feuded with the arrogant US Champion ahead of the MITB pay-per-view and eventually challenged him to a title fight at the premium event. The match itself was entertaining as both Superstars went all out to win, but it was Lashley who prevailed with the Almighty and propelled Theory to become a career US Champion again.

Theory became the youngest Money in the Bank winner in WWE history
However, Theory had the last laugh and ended the night with what is quite possibly the luckiest man in the entire wrestling industry when he won the coveted Money in the Bank match, becoming the youngest in WWE history. Theory was added to the match by Adam Pearce as the eighth contestant and eventually won the match.
Theory post Vince McMahon is the future of WWE and sees a lot of John Cena in the former US Champ. Cena and Theory have been hitting each other on social media for quite some time, leading to much speculation that a match between the two could happen. The theory added fuel to the fire when he was seen cutting a promo after MITB went off the air. He bragged about his win and duped Cena in his promo.
“Like it or not, you can’t deny the future, you can’t deny the gifts, you can’t deny the talent. There’s no denying that at just 24 years old, the youngest Mr. Money in the bank in WWE history. Just remember one thing, Las Vegas, I’m going to enjoy my night as Mr. Money in the Bank. Hey, it’s not easy being the prettiest, the best in the ring. I go straight up, nobody can touch me. Not even John Cena. Everyone else’s time is up, and my time is now.”
With WWE taking Theory to the moon and taunting former US Champion John Cena, it would be interesting to see if and when these two Superstars cross paths.
