With pace bowling sensation Anrich Nordje Delhi Capitals fans joining their setup ahead of the upcoming IPL season breathed a sigh of relief. Anrich Nortje has been a bright spot for the Capitals since his IPL debut two seasons ago.

Anrich Nordje was signed by the Capitals of Delhi before the recent mega auction. However, given his injuries over the past six months, there have been concerns about his availability for the franchise from the start of Season 15. When the South African bowler arrived in India earlier this week, he put all those doubts to rest.

On Thursday, the Capitals’ Instagram account posted a video in which Anrich Nordje can be seen answering numerous fan questions about his availability for the season. Here’s what he had to say to all of his adoring fans:

Nortje will lead the Capitals’ pace attack this season and the Rishabh Pant-led unit will be hoping the right-hander can build on his earlier success. In his debut season in 2020, he won 22 wickets with a stunning 23.27 average. Nortje followed up with another strong showing last year, picking up 12 scalps in eight games for a 15.58 average.

The speedy pacesetter last appeared in a competitive match in November when South Africa faced England in the T20 World Cup. The 28-year-old was sidelined all summer in South Africa with an unknown injury. cricket dr Shuaib Manjra, South Africa’s medical officer, was recently quoted as saying in a local newspaper: “He is not operational.”

“He was seen by three different orthopedists. He struggles with the store and does most of the other rehab work. He’s not ready to act. I think it’s frustrating,” he said. “He keeps fit, he works extremely hard. All goes well except when he’s picking up his bowling loads. He has complaints. We have identified three different problems between the back and hips and we don’t know which is the primary one.” he added.

However, his arrival in India for the IPL seems to indicate that the Proteas Pacer is now fully fit.
