Manchester United didn’t have a great season. The Red Devils had to change coaches mid-season after results weren’t in their favour. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked after just 12 Premier League games in charge and replaced by Ralf Rangnick to stabilize the ship until the end of the season.
Many players haven’t played to the mark for Manchester United this season and that has left the club outside of the Premier League’s top four. There are serious concerns that the Red Devils could miss out on qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League. Marquee signings like Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho also failed to make a big impact.
It is also reported that several players are unhappy with the club’s situation and want clarity about the future coach and the club’s development. There are rumors that Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Eric Bailly and Cristiano Ronaldo are not happy with the current situation at the club and want to leave the club in the summer.
Manchester United have so far denied these rumours, sticking to their stance that there is a real atmosphere at the club and among the players. However, recent results and the Red Devils’ loss to Manchester City have raised many eyebrows.

Arsenal legend Paul Merson opens up on Marcus Rashford’s situation at the club:
Arsenal legend Paul Merson doesn’t think Manchester United will let Marcus Rashford go in the summer. The England international made his mark in 2016 as the Red Devils sought success in the UEFA Europa League. Rashford hasn’t looked back since and has been one of the best players since his debut.
Paul Merson said:“It’s been two or three months and there’s talk of Rashford being moved on. Serious? No manager in their right mind would come to Old Trafford and sack Rashford. Even if I took over as manager of the club tomorrow morning, I wouldn’t let Rashford go!”
The Arsenal legend added:Because of this, Manchester United is in shambles, how have they not hired a manager now. Whoever comes in as manager will not get rid of Rashford so the move has to be made beforehand if it’s going to happen.”
Merson also said:“Everything has been great since Rashford came on stage, you couldn’t put it in a book if you tried. Now he has lost confidence and it is difficult for him. His confidence is shot. This is the first time he has lost it since joining the Manchester United team.
“From the moment he made his Europa League debut against Midtjylland and scored those two goals, I don’t think he lost that confidence. I remember he ran against City against three players but the run was just a symbolic gesture, you could see he had no belief that he was going to pass anyone. said Paul Merson.
The Arsenal legend explained:“I’m sorry for Rashford. It’s a terrible feeling when you lose faith in football, but even more when it happens for the first time. He doesn’t get a run on the team so he always seems to be chasing the game when he comes and he tries to do too much.
Paul Merson said last:“He just needs to play again and build his confidence. He has to go back to basics and suddenly his confidence will come back because the kid is a good player, you don’t become a bad player overnight.”
