“No…hell NO” Stephen Curry brutalizes Charles Barkley and finishes in top 70 at American Century Championship » FirstSportz

Stephen Curry and Charles Barkley are both incredible basketball players and they’ve certainly proven a lot in the arena. While Curry won 4 NBA titles and was also selected for the NBA 75th Anniversary team. On the other hand, Hall of Famer Barkley is also a member of the NBA jubilee teams and the 1992 dream team. Despite his epic NBA resume, he falls flat in one particular area, and that’s golf. It’s a well-known fact that Barkley is a notoriously bad golfer, but that hasn’t stopped him from becoming very involved in the sport.
While Stephen Curry is also making headlines in the golfing world, when asked for his response on the chances of Charles Barkley making the top 70 list at the American Century Championship, he had a hilarious response: “No damn it. no. Clip that, send it to him and let him hit it on every tee. There’s no way he’s doing it. As much faith Chuck had in the Warriors and Jump Shooter championships, I have little faith in him making the top 70.”
Interestingly, during the Western Conference Finals, Barkley stated that he didn’t care who won the series as he just wanted it to be over so he could play golf and fish every day.
Stephen Curry is also making great strides on the golf course

Reigning NBA Champion Steph is playing well in the tournament and by the end of the day, 1 shot a 77 on the par 72 course, resulting in a +16 on the tournament’s stable Ford scoring. He ended his day tied in 10th place, although his ranking could change depending on the other golfers finishing after him. He hit a 41 on the front nine but doubled it after the turn and shot par on the back nine.

For those who don’t know, Steph has yet to win the American Century Championship. But he’s been in the top-5 three times before. He plans to improve on this record. Curry said if he wins the ACC, his wife Ayesha will know what trophies to shove around the shelf.
“I hope we can make that decision Sunday night when I get home,” Curry said, smiling. “(I) played well, finished in the top five three times. So I know I’ve got it in there.
“This year, which is obviously past the finals and well into June, we’ll see how the golf game goes. This usually helps with lower expectations to just go out and play freely and have fun first and foremost. And if I can find a way to get off to a good start, of course that’s the best feeling when you feel like you’re in the race.”

As far as Charles Barkley’s comments go, that’s a fun, light-hearted shot fired there and shouldn’t be counted as a “jib.” Barkley has long been doubtful about the Warriors and their style of play, but the Warriors proved him wrong by winning the 2022 NBA Championship, and Stephen Curry was also named Finals MVP for the first time in his career.
Barkley has been picking against the Warriors all postseason, and now Draymond Green and co are making analysts feel their way.
