Barry Bonds is undoubtedly one of the greatest baseball players of all time. Bonds’ individual accolades include a record seven NL MVP awards and 12 Silver Slugger awards, as well as 14 All-Star awards. Now with this profile that would disagree with the legend, Dusty Baker.
Baker added his name to the list of people who have a hard time believing Barry Bonds will not be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. He managed Barry Bonds with the San Francisco Giants from 1993 to 2002. On Monday, NBC Sports Bay Area’s Monte Poole confronted Dusty Baker with a question.
Monte Poole compared the situation where David Ortiz was inducted in his first year of eligibility but Barry Bonds was unelected for a decade.

“The same way Jeff Kent didn’t get in” said Dusty Baker. “That’s not how Pete Rose gets in. Likewise, Roger Clemens does not come into the media.”
Dusty Baker even issued a statement about how he feels MLB Hall of Famer voters are regionally biased. “[MLB] is more partisan with Boston and New York and the East Coast teams,” he added. “Whenever we go to the playoffs, we always have to see what New York or Boston are going to do before we can even determine when we’re going to be on TV.”

“I know,” Dusty Baker said about Ortiz’ anchoring. “And I love daddy. But if you dig deep enough, everyone has something suspicious or something they’re not crazy about that everyone knows.
He added, “There was no one better than Barry. When you talk about the best of that era, people always want you to admit this or that. Well, Mark McGwire has admitted he’s not in it. He should be there too.”
