Ninja threatens to sue Pokimane for fallout from JiDion’s hate raid

Pokimane stated that the Ninja tried to prevent JiDion from getting permanent rights Twitch prohibited, but such accusations may lead to legal action.

Hate attacks have become a serious problem for Twitch streamers in recent months, with many complaining that there’s been too little work to prevent them. However, that could ultimately change now, as both Pokimane and Ninja have been embroiled in the biggest controversy to date.

On January 12, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys had to suspend her live stream because of an abusive viewing behavior. The hate attack was organized by fellow streamer JiDion, who was immediately banned from Twitch.

Originally, JiDion was only banned for 14 days but this was later turned into a permanent ban, despite Ninja appearing to promise to intervene on JiDion’s behalf during one of his streams.

According to Pokimane, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins tried to use his influence at Twitch to help JiDion avoid the ban, although he denied it.

In his own stream, Ninja made it clear that he ‘will do whatever he can’ to help JiDion, while also warning him that you can’t ‘compete’ on Twitch.

Pokimane was annoyed by that comment, and even JiDion seemed surprised at the Ninja’s use of the word in relation to Pokimane.

Things only got worse from there, when Ninja’s wife Jessica Blevins sent Pokimane a private message that was later shared on Twitter.

Jessica Blevins wrote: ‘We are looking into any character defamation at this time and are getting our legal team involved. ‘You are lying to tens of thousands of people.’

‘You are actively bringing up harassment against Tyler and I am currently at the highest level and we are taking this very seriously.’

Ninja’s wife suggests that he was only pretending to be in contact with Twitch to prevent JiDion’s fans from harassing him, which she claims she explained to Pokimane.

Other streamers have been more supportive of Pokimane, with the likes of Valkyrae, Ludwig, and Mizkif all criticizing her for frequently being the target of abuse simply because she’s the most popular female streamer on Twitch. Ninja threatens to sue Pokimane for fallout from JiDion's hate raid
