‘Nike’s Most Trusted Athlete’ LeBron James Caught Taping Adidas Logo During Drew League Appearance » FirstSportz

Lebron James is a real one since day one of his career and before it even started and he proves it time and time again. The King made a surprise appearance in Los Angeles’ Drew League (a Pro-Am basketball league that takes place every summer). The last time he played for the Drew League was in 2011 when the NBA was shut down due to a lockout. So, after a decade, LeBron James was back and putting on a show for his fans, who would queue for hours just to see him hoop. He starred alongside DeMar DeRozan for the MMV Imposters. In the game, he not only showcased his basketball greats, but also showed his loyalty to the crowd by not forgetting Nike.
LeBron James signed with Nike before he even started his league career and now even has a lifetime contract with the company. So it’s clear he’s staying with them all the time and that was the best decision he’s ever made. Today LeBron James is a billionaire and Nike plays an important role in it. As they made him a global superstar by promoting his talents, greatness and exploits around the world. Considering all of this, LeBron James decided to tape this Adidas logo on his Drew League jersey and dominated the opposing team.

Fans react to LeBron James putting the Adidas logo on his Drew League jersey
Adidas is one of Drew League’s branding partners as they make kits for them. But LeBron James is a Nike athlete and that too is a loyal one as he has a lifetime contract. So there’s no doubt that he won’t endorse Adidas on his kit, which is also just above his chest. So even before he got dressed for the game, he had that particular spot taped and the logo covered up. But that didn’t stop him from dominating as he won 104-102 against the Black Pearl Elite by dropping 42 points, 16 rebounds and 4 steals.
There are thousands of reactions to be had as LeBron James hides the Adidas logo on his kit and stays loyal to Nike. As fans react to this as usual, they bring trolls for King James. Many also understand the fact that LeBron is banned from wearing or endorsement of other sports brands’ accessories as it would certainly have been part of his contract.
