Nicolae Negumereanu violently ends Ihor Potieria (video)

At UFC 277, Nicolae Negumereanu made his name as someone to watch with his win over Ihor Potieria.

You know, when people say, “He knocked the taste out of someone’s mouth”… we saw the MMA equivalent of that today. Met Nicolae Negumereanu Ihor Potieria in only the second fight of the UFC277 early heats. A designation usually given to younger guys, up-and-coming, or less notable fighters. Negumereanu will never be on this part of the map again.

Negumereanu and Potieria had a ho-hum in the first round, nothing special, but the second round started with Potieria landing sniper shots like he was Deadshot. He constantly clipped Negumereanu, leading to a wild first half in the second round. However, Negumereanu hit back and landed a series of punches over the course of a good 30-40 seconds, resulting in Negumerianu knocking Potieria’s mouthguard out of his mouth.

Potieria wasn’t long in the fight after losing his mouthguard when the referee stepped in about 10 seconds later to stop the fight. Potieria didn’t fall, but he was as close to bouncing as you can get.

Nicolae Negumereanu is one to keep an eye on

One might wonder what kind of one-punch power Negumereanu really has, but when he can hit opponents as consistently and consistently as he did against Potieria, then he can be a force to be reckoned with UFC’s light heavyweight.
