New York Giants QB Daniel Jones sidelined again with neck injury

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – The Giants in New York will again without toilet money Daniel Jones this week against Dallas Cowboys because of a neck injury, a source told ESPN.

Jones underwent a weekly round of checks on Monday and was not contacted. The wound did not deteriorate, but the images still caused the medical professionals involved to be cautious.

Athletic were the first to report that Jones is expected to miss this week’s game.

Mike Glennon likely to start over in Jones’ place. Midfielder bought recently Jake Fromm Can also see some action.

Jones still has a chance to return this season but at some point the Giants will have to decide if the risk is worth the reward. They have only three games left after this week and run out of the playoffs with a 4-9 record.

Meanwhile, there is optimism internally that the defence Leonard Williams could return this season (possibly as early as this week) after he suffered an arm injury last Sunday Los Angeles charger, according to a source. Initial fears of a serious injury were dispelled during Monday’s examinations.

Williams has never missed a game due to injury in his career.

Jones has missed the past two games, both losing, because of a neck injury in the win Philadelphia Eagles last month. Glennon started in his place, throwing 191 yards with two touchdowns and interceptions in the 37-21 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.

But Jones remained in good form despite not being contacted. He went through a pregnancy workout on Sunday in Los Angeles.

This is the awkward part of the situation. Jones can do anything – run at full speed, roll around, cross the field – with no limits. He just couldn’t play on Sunday because he wasn’t contacted.

The Giants and Jones have been hopeful that he can be released, but it is also impossible to say for certain that he will return at some point this season. Nothing since the injury indicates that the stress has gotten worse.

“I have nothing negative, nothing [I’m] Less optimistic about, if that makes sense,” coach Joe Judge said earlier Monday.” I have no information that tells me things are going the other way around. So we’re eagerly waiting like you to hear what the doctors have to say and see where it is this week. “

Jones, 24, has completed 64.3% of his passes in 2,428 yards with 10 touchdowns and 7 interceptions this season. That’s not exactly what the Giants or their young quarterback were hoping for this season.

This is supposed to be the year that Jones made a significant leap. This is his third professional season after being picked with a 6th overall pick in 2019 and the Giants have added weapons in the hope of building an explosive attack around him.

It just failed. The attack struggled to break through the defense, the team’s top players couldn’t stay healthy, and Jones’ performances were uneven at times.

The Giants even fired offensive coordinator Jason Garrett last month and added Freddie Kitchens’ responsibility. That gave Jones his third other game player in his first three years in the NFL. New York Giants QB Daniel Jones sidelined again with neck injury
