New World is unleashing exploding bunnies on hapless players in tomorrow’s update

Here is some appropriately themed Easter content: New world will be patched into Rabbit’s Revenge overnight. Servers are expected to go offline at 2am EDT (tomorrow morning technically) for the patch, the core of which is a “Monty Python-like threat” from murderous lava bunnies.

“The rabbit plague has returned once again, only now they’re more dangerous than ever! Watch out for explosions as you hunt for event-specific loot from April 12 through April 25. Thanks to player feedback over the past year, every rare drop is now guaranteed after killing a certain number of Corrupted Rabbits.”

Players can check out the full patch notes as there are several additional adjustments to POI restrictions, quest rewards, the camera, and bisted loot.

Note that Amazon has noted that it is extending the current season into July to make up for lost time from the launch delay.
