New Orleans Saints put RB Mark Ingram on COVID-19 list; QB Taysom Hill, RB Alvin Kamara full practice

METAIRIE, La. – New Orleans Saints run again Mark Ingram II was added to the reserve / COVID-19 list on Wednesday, two days after the end of the Saints . defense Cameron Jordan was included in the list. However, there are some positives in the New Orleans injury report for a change.

The Saints (5-7) need some good news after a string of injuries led to their current five-game losing streak. Kamara has missed the past four games but looks set to return on Sunday at New York Jets after he returned to limited training last week.
Hill and Saints coach Sean Payton also confirmed that the plan is for Hill to start at QB this week despite a mallet finger injury he sustained to the middle finger of his right throw in the evening loss. Last Thursday with Dallas Cowboys.
Hill acknowledged that it will still be a “work in progress” to figure out the most effective way to throw the ball with a splint to the finger this week. But he said he felt “quite comfortable making the pitches that I needed” during Wednesday’s practice.
“Whenever you have something happen to your pitcher, it affects everything, and I certainly feel it,” said Hill, who was injured in the first inning and played the remainder. back of the match with a temporary splint said. “It changes the throwing motion and what you’re used to and everything else. But, look, I’ve managed it and I can do what I need to.”

On another positive note, Hill said his leg feels much better after an extended break between games. He also said that he doesn’t expect the finger to need surgery after the season and that he will likely wear the brace for about eight weeks.
Davenport has missed the past two games. Ramczyk has missed three pasts. Gardner-Johnson missed four pasts. And Armstead has missed three of the previous four. Werner’s injury is a new development.
