New claims: McDonald’s $1 Frozen Coke will rise to $4.75 – here’s the latest

A new viral video has sparked concern the price of a McDonald’s menu favorite is about to skyrocket.

On TikTok, a shopper shared that a Macca employee confirmed Frozen Cokes went from $1 to $4.75.

“I heard McDonald’s Frozen Cokes go from $1 to $4.75,” said Macca’s fan, who uses the TikTok name @Celine_Clark.

“Literally all I wanted was a frozen Coke. And in the summer, all I ever want is a Frozen Coke.

“But if they go back up to $4.75, there’s no way I can pay that.”

“I feel like the source is reliable because the guy who told me literally had a 48 year badge working at Macca’s.”

The TikTok user went on to explain that she just paid $2 — double the regular $1 price — for a large frozen coke. However, she claimed that another price increase was still to come.

“Right now they’re $2, but he told me they would eventually go back up to $4.75 the next time they raise the price,” she added.

“I was shocked to hear when he said that.”

The video caused a frenzy among TikTok users, who feared the price of the popular purchase could so dramatically increase.

“What? Absolutely not,” said one.

Adding another: “The prices at Macca are insane.”

However, 7NEWS.com.au understands that is not the case.

While the price of a large frozen coke in the change menu has doubled from $1 to $2, McDonald’s clearly has no plans for another price hike.

These are currently the prices of Frozen Coke at McDonalds.

• When purchased as part of Macca’s change menu between 10:30 am and midnight, a small frozen coke is $1, a medium frozen coke is $1.50, and a large frozen coke is $2.
• When customers order and pay for a frozen Coke — no matter the size — through MyMacca’s app, it’s still only $1.
• If a customer buys a large frozen coke between midnight and 10:30 a.m., it costs $4.75.
