An NC State football player claims the UCLA team voted not to play in the Holiday Bowl.
While everyone should be celebrating the Holiday Bowl, one NC State soccer player was baffled about the UCLA soccer team’s inability to play a few hours before the game started.
The UCLA Bruins players reportedly had their defenses destroyed due to COVID and were unable to play at the iconic Holiday Bowl in sunny San Diego, California. While San Diego is two hours from Los Angeles, it is a cross-country flight from Raleigh. This will be the first bowling game that the Bruins play in the Chip Kelly era. Now, we have to wait another year for it.
Here’s what recipient Thayer Thomas quoted across the NC state tweeted out of frustration about the game being canceled at the 11th hour.
NC State Soccer Player Accuses UCLA of Knocking Out Wolfpack During Holiday Bowl
It’s easy to see why NC State players like Thomas are crazy about what’s going on in San Diego. This could be the biggest deal to happen to San Diego football since the Chargers left town. At least Punt GAWD is still around, wait, Matt Araiza is turning pro. Regardless, Bang NC will be able to play someone this season after the cancellation.
The Wolfpack won 9-3 and finished the regular season with a place in the top 25. They were this close to winning their first championship since the ACC split itself in half to form the Atlantic and Coastal Divisions. With more and more bad games being cancelled, maybe there’s still time for Bang NC to get a new opponent and play someone to end their season on a good note?
Too bad, UCLA quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson hit Thayer with a reply tweet to only aggravate things.
With Dillon Gabriel’s move from UCF, is this how DTR’s UCLA career ended?
If there was ever a time for NC State and UCLA to schedule a home and future home, now is.
