Despite losing Jimmy Butler to injury in the second half, the Miami Heat fended off a comeback attempt from the Boston Celtics to earn the Game 3 win.
The Eastern Conference Finals were tied after the first two games in Miami with a game between the Celtics and Heat. Now the series was in Boston, and the Celtics were trying to capitalize on home field advantage.
Despite losing Jimmy Butler for the entire second half to a right knee infection, the Heat held off a furious comeback from the Celtics to win 109-103 and take a 2-1 lead in the series.

Twitter users reacted to everything that happened in Game 3, from the Celtics’ furious comeback attempt to Boston stars returning from apparent injuries.
With Butler out through injury, the Celtics seemed headed for disaster of their own.
Marcus Smart twisted his right ankle upon landing on the pitch and screamed in pain. Shortly after being helped to the dressing room, Smart was seen putting weight on his foot and eventually returning to court. Then Jayson Tatum retired with an apparent shoulder injury. He then drew a Marcus Smart and checked back into the game a little later.
Bam Adebayo had a big game for Miami as he scored 31 points while shooting 15 of 22 from the field and grabbing 10 rebounds. This is now the second time Adebayo has achieved that in the playoffs, and he now joins LeBron James (five) and Dwyane Wade (two) as the only player to have multiple 30 points, 10 rebounds and 60 percent field goal percentage in playoff games. per ESPN stats and info.
Meanwhile, Jaylen Brown put on a tremendous effort himself as he scored 40 points while making all 11 of his two-point shot attempts.
There will be eyes on Butler’s status ahead of Game 4. But, Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes reports that Butler’s injury is not serious and that there is a “strong possibility” that he will not miss time.
