NBA Twitter in disbelief after another protester interrupts Grizzlies-T’Wolves

NBA Twitter couldn’t believe another protester made it onto the pitch during the Grizzlies-Timberwolves NBA Playoffs series, but some are taking it as a good omen.

Just call this the protest playoffs for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

For the third time this postseason, a protester attempted to disrupt a T-Wolves game. First, during play-in, a woman attempted to tape her wrists to the court. In game 1 of the first round, another woman chained herself to the basket.

Then, late Saturday night, a woman ran into the square, but she didn’t get far enough to cause much disruption. She was quickly attacked by security forces and dragged away.

Another person also had safety swarming on the sidelines.

Another Timberwolves protester took to NBA Twitter

Earlier protesters have targeted Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor over allegations of animal cruelty. The first two to disrupt the Minnesota games wore shirts that read “Glen Taylor Roasts Animals Alive.”

It wasn’t immediately clear whether or not the riot caused on Saturday came from the same animal rights protest group.

Security has been tightened since the first protesters emerged but it seems they are determined to make a statement at every Timberwolves game they can.
