NBA Twitter can’t get enough of Luka Doncic dropping sick pennies

Luka Doncic put on a show for the Mavericks against the Pistons on Wednesday night and stunned NBA Twitter with his no-look passes.

The Mavericks continued to pressure the Warriors for third place in the Western Conference on Wednesday by bursting the Pistons in Detroit.

The game’s impact on the postseason certainly played a role, but NBA Twitter had a lot more to say about Dallas’ Luka Doncic’s performance.

Doncic has made a habit of delivering double-digit dimes this season, counting 14 on Wednesday to bring his season total to 27 games of 10 or more.

It was the nature of some of these assists that got Twitter talking.

Luka Doncic stunned NBA Twitter in Mavericks-Pistons

Doncic amassed 26 points, 14 assists and eight rebounds, and made viewers do a double take with passes that looked more like optical illusions than anything.

Twitter was full of people trying to make sense of this backwards no-look toss and more.

The 131-113 win over the Pistons gave the Mavericks 50 wins of the season for the first time in Doncic’s career. They’re half a game behind the Warriors and pretty much finished No. 4 or better in the playoffs.

Doncic is averaging 28.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, 8.7 assists and 1.2 steals in his fourth season in the league.

He’s proven he can wow crowds in the regular season. The next big hurdle is advancing through the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

Dallas will end its season with home games against the Trailblazers and Spurs on Friday and Sunday.
