NBA star Luka Doncic is a grandmaster Overwatch player

A surveillance 2 The Twitch streamer was in for a big surprise when NBA star and Dallas Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic accidentally ended up on his team. Doncic, an out and proud over watch Players and, worryingly, Hanzo/Genji mainShe played against Zarya in the Grandmaster match that streamer M0xy beamed live to the Twitch crowds.

“Do you have any hobbies, Donatello?” he asks as they guard the first point on Numbani, referring to the Zarya player in question with his gamer tag. “Yes, I play basketball,” Donatello replies after pressing the emote that makes Zarya say “privyet.” “Okay, like you go to the gym or play on a team?” asks the streamer.

Donatello’s answer is so simple and said with such amazing lack of emotion and the perfect Slovenian accent that we have no choice but to say, “Dallas Mavericks.” This immediately leads to two of the players in the game asking if he “Uni” or something similar means the real thing. “No, no, really,” says Donatello. The clip cuts to a later point in the game where it appears the crew has been grilling him about his identity for quite some time. “When is your birthday?” They ask. “28. February,” he replies.

“Well he actually knows…I googled this, you’re actually right,” confirms the streamer. “I know I’m him,” says Doncic. It’s so perfect, so utterly simple and matter-of-fact amidst the colorful explosions and incessant over watch sounds like this clip should be hung in the damn Louvre.

But what makes it even more perfect is the fact that Doncic is a grandmaster over watch Players, meaning it’s the highest rank you can possibly achieve before breaking into the global top 500. This guy is Good at surveillance 2, and the fact that he’s playing Tank in the new 5v5 format means he’s rock solid in his role too. It’s great to see that he’s now focused on tanking, as opposed to his 2018 admission that he has two of the most annoying DPS characters to play with, Hanzo and Genji. That’s on growth guys.
