Sorry, Cavaliers fans.

Of course, the Lakers made heavy moves this past season to compete for the NBA championship after being knocked out in the first round by the Phoenix Suns last season. One example is the trade for Russell Westbrook, and that move did not pay a dividend to Los Angeles. The Lakers are currently sitting in ninth place in the Western Conference as of Thursday morning, February 24, with a 27-31 record. Despite their efforts, the Lakers failed to make a move on the trading deadline.

Across 41 games this season, James is averaging 29.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists, while shooting 52.2% from the field and 35.3% from the 3-point line.

James also has a contract with the Lakers for next season before moving to a free agency. From there, it will be interesting to see what James does. NBA insider shuts down on LeBron James return to Cavs
