NBA Championship Odds Heading to All-Star Weekend

Although we’re past the midway point of the NBA season, the NBA All-Star break is considered the split time between the first and second half of the season. We’ve also passed the trade deadline, which means most teams are set for the rest of the season.

Teams are set up, but that doesn’t mean standings. The 1st and 5th seeds in the Eastern League are decided by 2.5 games right now. There’s still a lot that can happen before we get to the knockouts.

Here’s how the current NBA championship odds look, courtesy of WynnBET.

Standing Committee of the Eastern Conference

The Brooklyn Nets remain a favorite after bringing James Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers. However, the race at the top was still tense as if it had lasted a whole year. The Nets and Bucks, currently have a 4.5-game lead, with the Sixers trailing behind.

We won’t see the Nets or Sixers at full strength until after the All-Star break, but their full teams are sure to make waves in the odds rankings.

Western Conference Standing Committee

The Phoenix Suns have taken over the odds charts, and for good reason. They have the best record in the league and the most consistent, drama-free team all year. The Warriors have fallen behind on the actual leaderboard, but are still right behind the Suns on the odds leaderboard.

Bettors see the Western Conference as a two-team race. While the Jazz and Grizzlies have played well this year, confidence that they can get it done in the post-season is far from over.

Overall, there’s still a lot of movement to come. Even at the bottom of the list with teams like Miami and Chicago, there’s still plenty of value across the board.

The next term is the redemption period. Once the dust has settled from there, the real final stretch will continue.
