Murder of Oberon: Man charged with murder after body found in NSW home

A man has been charged with murder after the body of a man in his 30s was found in a house in the NSW Central Tablelands.

Officers called to a home in Oberon Thursday morning found the body of a man with a gunshot wound.

He was treated by paramedics but died at the scene of the accident.

The man has yet to be formally identified but is believed to be in his 30s.

A 57-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Oberon Police Station for questioning.

A crime scene was established and a firearm was seized for further investigation.

Following a police investigation, the man has been charged with murder and declined bail to appear at Bathurst Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

After initial investigations, the two men were known.
