Mortal Online 2 offers a first taste of the sandbox’s Unreal Engine 5 upgrade

Who wouldn’t appreciate better graphics in their FFA PvP sandbox? That’s exactly what players of Mortal online 2 Coming in the near future, as the game’s latest livestream offered its first Unreal Engine 5 preview, with plenty of particle effects, crisp textures, and a big chunky dragon to top it off.

Readers will recall that the UE5 upgrade was first detailed in an October roadmap post as part of an “epic release” that would also include more server capacity, a stealing system, zone rules that change based on faction reputation, and promises a revised starting experience.

More information on the teaser and what will be shown is promised in a later synopsis video, but until then you can check out the actual preview video below the pause.
