Had an interesting dream last night.

Dreamed I was driving the streets of Greeley City. A nightmare.

I know I’ve written about Greeley drivers before, but things just keep happening.

For example, yesterday out on 83rd Avenue, I was driving the 40 speed limit (perhaps drifting to 41 on occasion), and this gray car came up behind me, riding on my bumper. I slowed down because that’s what you do when an idiot is following too close.

Anyway, after riding on my bumper for about a mile, the guy accelerates and passes me. On a double yellow line.

What’s the deal with a double yellow line that some drivers don’t understand? It is illegal to pass in this area. It is also dangerous and that is why the yellow line is doubled.

Anyway, he sped off, about 150 miles an hour, and was gone. It was the second time in two days that a rider passed me on a double yellow line.

Then, the next day, I was driving down 4th Street, obeying the 40 mph speed limit, and then another vehicle passed me. He did it legally because there was no yellow line.

But he was driving too fast. I’m guessing about 50 mph in the 40 zone.

AND… it was a Greeley City bus! Violating speed limit laws, obviously in a hurry to get to the nearest bus stop. I don’t think it was an emergency because he didn’t turn on his red lights and siren.

Then today we are stopped in a queue of cars at an intersection. The cars are all in the RIGHT TURN ONLY lane and we all have our turn signals on.

Except for the first car. Just sitting there in the turn lane, no signal. Made the rest of us wait at the red light because he didn’t want to turn.

When the light changed He went straight. No right turn!

And these are just some of the reasons why driving drives us crazy.
