Mo’Nique takes on the role of Octavia Spencer in Lee Daniels’ “Demon House” film

Mo’Nique will reunite with Lee Daniels for his next film demon house.

According to Deadline, the 54-year-old actress will take over Octavia Spencer‘s role in the film, which had to be canceled due to a scheduling conflict.

Mo’Nique will star alongside Andra Day, Glenn Close, Rob Morgan, Caleb McLaughlin and Aunjanue Ellis as a social worker who helps a family through a series of exorcisms.

Most recently, the Oscar winner worked with her lee on 2009 is Preciousand they haven’t spoken to each other for 13 years.

Back then, Mo’Nique accused him Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry disparaging her for not promoting the film during awards season. Her reason was because it wasn’t in her contract and she didn’t want to spend time away from her family.

While the trio denied their claims, it sparked a decades-long feud.

just recently, Mo’Nique had filed a lawsuit against Netflix alleging racial and gender discrimination for attempting to drastically underpay her for a stand-up special after offering tens of millions of dollars to other stars.
