Tate lost a unanimous decision to Ketlen Vieira during Saturday’s bantamweight main event at UFC APEX in Las Vegas. It was the first loss for the former UFC bantamweight champion since she decided to return earlier this year after retiring in 2016. Tate beat her. Marion Reneau by the third round of TKO last July.
After five tough innings against Vieira, Tate was rushed to the hospital after her match as a precaution and wasn’t available to speak to the media, but she shared a message on Instagram His stories in the evening to provide a quick post-combat update.

Hey, we had fun tonight!! I still feel like I’ve evolved and the truth is I’ve never been bound by an outcome. Just be happy to enjoy these moments. Thank you as always for your support and congratulations [Vieira].
Tate has now lost three of her previous four matches, while Vieira is back in the winning column after losing a unanimous decision to Yana Kunitskaya in February.
