Michigan vs. Prediction. Tennessee and Odds for Second Round of the NCAA Tournament

The Michigan Wolverines have a Round of 64 that begins Thursday afternoon with a 75-63 win over Colorado State. Now, they will advance to Round 32 for a game against the Tennessee Volunteers in an 11 vs. 3.

Tennessee had one of those tight wins on Thursday, beating No. 14 Longwood with an overall score of 88-56. The Volunteers are in full swing for Round 32. They’ve won 8 games in a row, including winning the SEC Tournament.

Tennessee

Michigan’s greatest weakness, being Tennessee’s greatest strength, could prove the difference in this Round of 32 game. Tennessee is seventh in the country in defensive efficiency, and now they face a Michigan team that has struggled defensively all season, placing 225th in the aforementioned statistic.

They can also do what the State of Colorado can’t do, which is prevent crime inside Michigan. Volunteers ranked 30th on the opponent’s on-field goal percentage of two points. For comparison, Colorado State ranks 229th in this stat, allowing the Werewolves to smash rocks low and dominate them in the second half.

I think Tennessee is going to win big, and start to become a strong national championship contender in the eyes of the fans.

Pick: Tennessee -6
