Michelle Waterson vs Amanda Ribas in the UFC event on March 26

A women’s strawweight bout between Amanda Ribas and Michelle Waterson is currently being targeted to bring the curtain down at an upcoming Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event on March 26, 2022. That’s according to a report from Damon Martin, although the promotion has yet to officially announce the reservation.
The two were originally set to go head-to-head at UFC 257 earlier this year before Waterson was forced out of the fight for The reason is not disclosed. Marina Rodriguez agreed to go into the match against Ribas and went on to beat her with a technical knockout. Ribas returned with a victory over Virna Jandiroba at UFC 267 this past October.
Waterson, meanwhile, made her comeback against aforementioned Marina Rodriguez this past summer to lose by unanimous decision after 25 minutes of play. The loss makes Waterson’s UFC record 1-3 in her last four fights, a far cry from her fight in 2018-2019 where she won three in a row, taking her to the list of champions.
While a win over Ribas won’t put her in the mix, it will be a much-needed win to prevent her from falling further down the ladder.
Although not official yet, the Fight Night event – which will take place inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada – is set to feature a Light Heavyweight fight between former weight champion Jan Blachowicz and Aleksandar Rakic.
